Terms of Use
Last updated October 1, 2026
1. Agreement
By creating an account or using WeCowork (the “Service”), you agree to these Terms of Use. If you don't agree, don't use the Service. You must be at least 13 years old to use WeCowork.
2. What WeCowork is
WeCowork helps people find cafes to work from and meet others working nearby. You can check in to a cafe, chat in cafe and city chat rooms, send direct messages, and create a public profile.
3. Your content and conduct
You are responsible for everything you post, including messages, profile details, photos, reviews and polls (“Content”). There is no tolerance for objectionable content or abusive users. You agree not to post or send Content that:
- is hateful, harassing, threatening, bullying or discriminatory;
- is sexually explicit, pornographic or exploits or endangers minors;
- promotes violence, self-harm, or illegal activity;
- is spam, scams, or unsolicited advertising;
- impersonates another person or misrepresents who you are;
- shares someone else's private information without their consent; or
- infringes anyone's intellectual property or other rights.
You keep ownership of your Content, and you give WeCowork a non-exclusive license to host and display it as needed to run the Service.
4. Reporting, blocking and moderation
You can report any message or profile in the app (press and hold a message, or use “Report” on a profile) and block any user from their profile or a message. Blocked users' content is hidden from you and they can't message you.
We review reports and act on them within 24 hours. Action can include removing Content and suspending or permanently removing the accounts responsible. We may remove Content or accounts that break these Terms at any time, without notice.
5. Safety when meeting people
WeCowork is meant for meeting in public places like cafes. We don't screen or verify users. Use good judgment, meet in public, and tell someone where you're going. You are responsible for your own interactions with other users, online and in person.
6. Location
If you allow it, the Service uses your location to center the map and show people and cafes nearby. Your check-ins and your profile (name, photo, occupation, country, bio, interests and links you add) are visible to other users. You can turn off location access in your device's settings at any time.
7. Your account
You're responsible for activity on your account. You can delete your account at any time from the Profile screen in the app; this permanently removes your profile and the data tied to it. We may suspend or terminate accounts that break these Terms.
8. Disclaimers and liability
The Service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. Cafe details such as hours, wifi and amenities come from public sources and users and may be wrong. To the fullest extent permitted by law, WeCowork isn't liable for indirect or consequential damages, or for the conduct of any user.
9. Changes
We may update these Terms. If the changes are material, we'll ask you to accept the new version before you keep using the Service.
